Welcome to Buffalo’s First Idea Lab
VERY EXCITING NEWS: The i4 Studio is born!!!
i4 Studio is a creative space where new ideas are born and then applied for the purpose of making the world a better place to live, work and play.
The Innovation Center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus is delighted to announce the opening of Buffalo’s first idea lab, the i4 Studio. i4 stands for Imagination, Inspiration, Ideation and Innovation. Please visit the website at: http://i4studiobuffalo.com/
The i4 studio is a dedicated space specifically designed for Creative Problem Solving (CPS) training and CPS client facilitation sessions. It is located on the second floor of the Innovation Center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus at 640 Ellicott Street in downtown Buffalo.
The Innovation Center is the largest business incubator in Buffalo. It is home to the design innovation garage (dig), 43 North, Z80 Labs and some of the fastest growing most successful companies and start-ups in the region.
One of the program offerings of the i4 Studio is the Solutions Lab. The Solutions Lab is a program that utilizes a group of individuals highly trained in CPS who are also successful in their specific fields of business, education, arts or government to help clients create breakthroughs to their toughest business problems.
THIS WILL BE THE ONLY INNOVATION PROGRAM OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD
As you know Buffalo is the birthplace of Brainstorming and it is also home to the International Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY Buffalo State. As a result, the Western New York and Southern Ontario region has the highest concentration of people extensively trained in CPS, many with Masters Degrees in Creative Studies, in the world. It is the intention of the i4 Studio to be able to access this powerful local resource.
You are receiving this notice because we are currently building the cadre of individuals trained in CPS that will make up the resource groups for the Solutions Labs.
If you are interested in being part of this cadre of trained brains please reply with a short three-sentence bio that describes your training in CPS and other areas of expertise that you can bring to this session. Please include a recent head-shot photograph and indicate your interest in being a trained brain by February 20, 2017. Please reply to Roger@RogerFirestien.com
Individuals will be compensated for each session for which they serve as a trained brain.
The i4 Studio is endorsed by the International Center for Studies in Creativity and Dr. Roger Firestien is serving as the co-director.
Here is the bottom line: We have a beautiful dedicated space. We live in a community that has the highest concentration of people trained in CPS in the world. We have support from the Innovation Center. We need creative brains like yours to make a positive difference in our world.
Please join us. When we receive your information, Dr. Firestien will contact you with additional details.
And one last thing, even if you are not interested in being a “trained brain” please join us at the i4Studio official launch event on Tuesday Evening February 28, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Innovation Center – 640 Ellicott Street in downtown Buffalo. Parking is located across the street.
